Scandinavia’s New Dance Festival
Nicasino Dance Festival brings together dancers from across Norway and Europe for a weekend of Cuban salsa, bachata sensual, and inspiring encounters — both on and off the dance floor. Here you’ll have the chance to grow, forge new connections, and recharge with dance in the midst of winter.
The festival takes place in professional settings at Hotel Caledonien. Everything is under one roof — dance studios, restaurant, rooms, and views over the city and the fjord. We recommend staying at the hotel to get the most out of the weekend.

Anyone who loves to dance. Couple classes are best suited for those who have danced salsa and/or bachata before, with several levels available. Solo classes are for everyone. Parties are open to all lovers of Latin music!
Yes, there are day passes and workshop/party packages that do not include accommodation.
Hotel Caledonien has lovely rooms and delicious food. You’ll get more out of the weekend if you stay onsite — no hassle with logistics or transport.
Tickets for cultural and leisure events with fixed dates are exempt from the right of withdrawal (see the Norwegian Consumer Rights Act, Section 22). Therefore, no refunds for cancellations, illness or similar.
Tickets may be transferred to another person up until 7 days before the festival starts, for an administration fee of NOK 150. Contact us via email to change the name.
